After raising more than $160,000 in 2011, Steven Douglas Associates, one of the nation’s leading boutique search and project-based professional services firms, has again partnered with NFL All-Pro, Jason Taylor, and his Jason Taylor Foundation to create the “Read to Succeed Initiative” benefiting the Jason Taylor Reading Room.

The initiative was launched by Steven Douglas Associates Chairman and CEO, Steve Sadaka, who has assembled a dedicated team of committee members determined to serve as ambassadors for the after-school program, which is provided at no cost to underserved middle and high school students.  The committee is seeking generous community members willing to contribute $1,000 each, the cost for one child to participate in the program throughout an entire school year. Any money raised above what it costs to operate the Reading Room will go towards college scholarships.

Each donor who contributes $1,000 or more will be invited to two exclusive events hosted by Jason Taylor and his friends. The first event will take place on Wednesday, March 28 at Smoke on the Water, cigar bar and lounge, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. The second event will also take place at Smoke on the Water on Wednesday, May 23. At the May 23rd event, in addition to an open bar, food and cigars, a photographer will take the pictures of all donors with Jason and print them out on-site so that Jason can personalize them that evening.
